Approach to Helping :

I work with people who are motivated to make changes in their lives.  Trauma and addictions are particular focuses of my practice and they often go hand in hand.  Some clients are struggling with behavioral addictions such as food, sex, gambling or shopping.  Some are trying to overcome alcohol or drug abuse. I support clients in gaining awareness of where they are stuck and what experiences may be contributing to unhealthy patterns of behavior.  I enjoy working with couples and try to help them rebuild communication, intimacy, and friendship.  I bring a safe environment, empathy, compassion, and humor to each session.  As a team, we can bring about real and lasting change.
